Do I have a life? Let's see...I guess I do! Only 17!

SUPPOSEDLY if you've seen more than 85 of these films, you have no life. Mark the ones you've seen. There are 239 films on this list. Copy this list. Then, put x's next to the films you've seen, add them up, change the header adding your number, and click post at the bottom. Have fun. I got tagged by Frenzied Feline.

I scored an 81, but I'm not sharing which movies I've seen. I guess I'm moving toward not having a life. Or maybe I just like theater-made popcorn for $4.00. Or maybe I think I will meet that "special person" while spilling my soft drink all over myself.

I also scored 17. The ones I've seen tend to be the ones that children and teenagers are interested in. I didn't count the ones that I've heard playing in the background, just the ones that I've actually sat down and watched.

JTB, let me assure you that spilling one's drink is NOT an effective way of winning friends and influencing people. You may just have to trust me on this one. I have experience, you know.

My goodness, Trixie (and Genevieve!) You're missing out on some movies that would probably be right up your alley.

Off the top I would suggest you rent Princess Bride and Ever After. :)

Frenzied, I don't have the patience, usually, to sit down and watch a movie (unless I see it in the theater) This fact about me is well-known in my family. I have to really want to see a movie, in order to focus on it and get into the story. Otherwise, I'm thinking about everything else I could be doing and I don't follow the plot well, and soon I'm lost and bored. It's just the way my mind works (or doesn't work.)

Trixie,

I always imagined you as an "experienced" woman. ;-)

Also, I guess I'm a little "kinky" as I've tried it all. Rolling my cell phone down three or four rows, spilling most of my popcorn all over the lobby, once all over the purchase counter and splashing some on the person waiting on me, falling asleep during a movie only to be awaken and told I was snoring loudly, developing a sneezing fit while sitting at the top of stadium seating, spewing milk duds over perhaps a half-dozen folks after opening the box clumsily. I could go on and on.

Happy New Year!

JTB, surely you have not forgotten the big drink spill "experience" when we went to a movie together? (May have been "Bend It Like Beckham.") That was when I learned to go the the concession stand AFTER making the pit stop and not before.

Trixie,

I will always remember that! Your reaction is even more memorable than the drink spilling event itself.

We went together to see several mutually agreed upon movies that we both expected to enjoy and usually did. Now I do think I dragged you along to one of the Mission Impossible movies that you might have found a little over the top. I guess for some of us guys it is the "testosterone" thing or getting to watch grownups play with really big toys.

Now when are we going to see a movie together again? The theater near me (no stadium seating, sorry) only charges $4.75 for a first-run evening seat. Concession prices like other theaters are so high as to make a skyscraper jealous.

My movie-going has been cut about 75% in the last few months, although it clearly still vastly outpaces your going.

I think it is hilarious when the theaters say it is a "bargain" to upgrade to the larger size drink and popcorn. Well, when you are like me and find diet soft drinks having a really bitter after taste, my doctor doesn't think it is a bargain upgrading from 900 calories to 1500 or whatever it comes to -- I've verified that many movie theaters make popcorn with a far greater amount of fat than normal because it helps to make for movie popcorn addicts.

JTB, I say it should be about time for another movie outing. I haven't been to a movie since the 3-D version of Journey to the Center of the Earth. It's the only movie I've gone to see in a theater since I've been here!!
I need to make a trip over that direction -- I need to do some shopping in Tulsa-Town fairly soon. Maybe in a couple of weeks?

That should work, depending on when two weeks is, weekend wise. However, it looks like I could do the weekend of January 10-11, or 17-18. Not so sure about 24-25, yet. So what's free your way?

And, from reading another of your posts, it looks like one of these days I'm going to get invited to a home meal, seeing how the computer got moved. Actually, because I've been trying to get my place in order two months after moving, I haven't been reading but every few days. JTB
