I didn't say that I had "lived" in New York, though I did spend two months there in the summer of 1984. I maintained my home in Oklahoma during that time -- I was on a fellowship.
None is underlined. ??
I've only lived in Oklahoma, with the disclaimer above about the two months in New York. And since that's the state where I am now, it's italicized. I've traveled quite a lot but always come home.
